Plug-in Compatibility

DAW Compatibility

SSL plug-ins complete rigorous testing on the current releases of each DAW at the time of their release, and when they are updated. The tested platforms are as follow:

  • Pro Tools

  • Ableton Live

  • Logic Pro

  • Cubase

  • Studio One

  • Reaper

  • FL Studio

Each plugin is tested in the formats: .VST3, .AU and .AAX, respective of their DAW integration.

Whilst we aim to test compatibility with newer or previous versions of each listed DAW, support and functionality may vary and cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, whilst our plugins should be compatible with any DAW that supports .VST3, .AU and .AAX, deviation from the list above will not be supported.

If you have compatibility issues with a particular DAW, please follow the DAW developer's guides before contacting SSL:

Computer and OS Compatibility

We support Apple Silicon (M1-M4) and Windows systems (Intel and ARM). Apple Silicon M5 is not yet tested, and therefor unsupported (milage may vary). Please note, Linux is unsupported.

MacOS compatibility is as follows:

  • macOS 26 Tahoe
  • macOS 15 Sequoia
  • macOS 14 Sonoma
  • macOS 13 Ventura – 10.15 Catalina*

Windows compatibility is as follows:

  • Windows 11
  • Windows 10*

* NOTE: We do not actively test these older operating systems as they are no longer supported by their respective developers, but we currently know of no reasons the current versions of our plug-ins will not work on these systems. That said, your mileage may vary. If you need access to older versions of our products, please check the SSL/Harrison Legacy Plugins Download list

SSL advises against updating your operating system if compatibility has not been confirmed on this FAQ.
