Alpha-Link MX firmware v2.0 supports 176.4 kHz and 192 kHz sample rates.
How to update
The firmware of your Alpha-Link MX can be updated by using ALMX updater.app. Before the updater can be used the USB driver must be installed and your Alpha-Link devices need to be connected to your computer via USB.
Instructions:
- Open the Silicon Labs USB Driver.dmg (included in the ALMX 2.0 package);
- Launch and follow the instructions of the Silicon Labs VCP Driver Installer (a reboot may be required);
- Start the ALMX updater.app;
- Connect your Alpha Link MX devices (if not already done so) via USB to your computer and turn the devices ON;
- Select the device you wish to update in the device selection list of the main window;
- Select Device->Update Flash from the ALMX updater main menu;
- Do not turn OFF or disconnect the device while updating! (failing to do so may damage your Alpha-Link MX);
- If the device has been successfully updated cycle power to load the new firmware;
- If there was an error during the update please do NOT turn off the device - try to update the firmware again.
Supported Operating Systems
The Alpha-Link MX firmware v2.0 updater for macOS works with:
- SSL Alpha-Link MX 16-4 and 4-16
- MAC OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) 32-bit and 64-bit kernel
- MAC OS X 10.7 (Lion) 32-bit and 64-bit kernel
- MAC OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) 64-bit kernel
- Please note this firmware does not apply to Alpha-Link MADI-SX or AX.

How to update
The firmware of your Alpha-Link MX can be updated by using SSL Alpha-Link MX Firmware v2.0.exe. During the update a USB driver will be installed and your Alpha-Link devices need to be connected to your computer via USB.
Instructions:
- Connect your SSL Alpha-Link MX devices to your computer via USB and turn the devices ON;
- Open SSL Alpha-Link MX Firmware v2.0.exe;
- The Alpha-Link MX USB Driver will be installed first;
- Then the Alpha-Link Firmware updater will run.
- Select the device you wish to update using the device selection buttons;
- Click the “Start” button;
- Do not turn OFF or disconnect the device while updating! (doing so may damage your Alpha-Link MX);
- If the device has been successfully updated turn the SSL Alpha-Link MX off and then on to load the new firmware;
- If there was an error during the update please do NOT turn off the device - try to update the firmware again.
