Introduction
Control interfaces on Sigma, Nucleus, Matrix, AWS and Duality are unable to perform automatic private IP addressing / stateless autoconfiguration. If their network adapters are set to DHCP mode but not connected to a network with a DHCP server they will never acquire an IP address and will be unable to communicate with other devices on the network.
Fixed IP Addresses
For point-to-point connections (direct connection between a console and computer) or connections through a network without a DHCP server, consoles and DAWs must be manually assigned fixed IP addresses within the same subnet.
The factory default fixed IP address for Sigma, Nucleus, AWS and Duality is 192.168.1.2 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Devices wishing to connect in this configuration must be assigned an address between 192.168.1.3-192.168.1.254, subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Please see your console user manual for instructions on changing the fixed IP address of your system if 192.168.1.2 is an unsuitable address for use within your installation.
