Duende Native downloads

Duende Native V5 was replaced by SSL Native V6 in 2018. SSL Native V6 is a free update for existing Duende Native V5 owners. If you are using an older OS, you may need to use Duende V5, and those downloads are available here.

Each existing Duende Native license will work with its SSL Native counterpart (eg SSL Duende Native Channelstrip iLok licenses will also license the SSL Native Channelstrip V6 plug-in) and vice versa.

The fundamental audio characteristics of the plug-ins remain unchanged, but there have been a range of improvements including higher resolution GUI and underlying framework to ensure support for many years to come.

Duende Native V5 presets will not work with SSL Native V6, however SSL Native V6 and Duende Native V5 plug-ins will work side by side within your DAW.

The X-Verb plug-in has been discontinued with the release of SSL Native V6. Users may continue to use the Duende V5 version of X-Verb alongside the rest of the SSL Native V6 plug-ins.

The free crossgrade from SSL Duende hardware was offered for seven years and ended 2018. It is not possible to crossgrade after this date.

Minimum System Requirements

Mac:

macOS Lion (10.7) or higher
4 GB RAM

PC:

Windows 7 or higher
4 GB RAM

The 64-bit Duende requires a 64-bit DAW host. If you use a 32-bit DAW on a 64-bit OS, you need to use the 32-bit installer.

Software Installation

Mac:

Double click on the downloaded .dmg file.
Double click on the SSL Duende Native v5.1.3 file and run the installer.
Follow the instructions in the installer window. Please Note: If you do not have licenses for all the Duende plugins, the 4th page of the installer will allow you to select which plugins to install on your system.
If you haven’t already got the iLok License Manager software, double click on the installer. Follow the instructions in the installer window.
Eject the .dmg file.

PC:

Double click and extract the downloaded .zip file.
Double click on the SSL Duende Native v5.1.3 file and run the installer. Follow the instructions in the installer window. Please Note: If you do not have licenses for all the Duende plugins, the 4th page of the installer will allow you to select which plugins to install on your system.
If you haven’t already got the iLok License Manager software, double click on the installer. Follow the instructions in the installer window.

iLok

Duende Native use the iLok 2 or 3 Smart Key. Duende Native did not allow machine location activation. For machine location, you must use SSL Native V6.

In the event that your iLok is lost, stolen, or faulty SSL may not issue replacement licenses free of charge.

SSL strongly advise having ZDT Theft & Loss Coverage.

Please note that these installers contain all 10 plug-ins. If you have only purchased a single plugin and do not wish to demo any of the others, be sure to deselect them when prompted in the installation process. If you install plugins you do not own, you will receive activation code messages in your DAW.
