In order for us to get the deeper integration with Pro Tools, we request track information via PTSL. A consequence of this is that the menus flicker on some Windows systems. This also happens with non-SSL devices that use this method.
We've requested a different way of achieving this to Avid but we are reliant on them making changes. Right now, this is the only possible solution for us, until Avid make changes their end - it is out of our control
If it becomes too difficult to load an item from the menus when they are flickering, then killing the SSL 360 core via Task Manager will stop the flickering but also stop the controllers and integration. You'll then need to kick start the core again via closing SSL 360 and re-opening.
We will try and implement an easier way of doing this in a future update, if Avid do not address our request.
