Pro Tools Version Required
To experience the best possible DAW integration between your SSL controllers and Pro Tools, please ensure you are running the most up-to-date version of Pro Tools you can, that is is compatible with your operating system.
We have successfully tested SSL 360 v2.1.12 and our latest Pro Tools integration features with:
- 2026. Pro Tools releases
- 2025. Pro Tools releases
Pro Tools 2024 releases may not work with our latest DAW integration features.
Anything before Pro Tools 2024 will not work with our latest DAW integration features.
SSL 360° Versions Required
UC1
SSL 360° v2.0.6 and above adds support for the following enhancements for UC1 / the 360° Plug-in Mixer:
- UC1/Plug-in Mixer now dynamically follows Pro Tools Track Order
- UC1/Plug-in Mixer now follows Pro Tools track colour
- Synchronised UC1/Plug-in Mixer and Pro Tools Track Selection
SSL 360° v2.1.12 and above adds support for the following enhancements for UC1 / the 360° Plug-in Mixer:
- UC1/Plug-in Mixer solos and cuts control Pro Tools tracks solo and cuts.
UF8 and UF1
SSL 360° v2.1.12 and above adds support for the following enhancements for Pro Tools HUI DAW control layers on UF8 and UF1:
- UF8 and UF1 Displays - Longer Track Names for Pro Tools HUI Layer – You are no longer restricted to 4-character track names. UF8/UF1 now display 8-character track names.
- Track Colours for Pro Tools HUI layer - Pro Tools track colours are now reflected on UF8 and UF1 displays.
- You no longer have to be in ‘Auto’ Selection Mode on UF8 to select a track and put it into an automation mode. Simply select a track and then action the desired automation button.
Please also check PTSL is successfully running in SSL 360°
For Pro Tools Track Colours and 8-character track names, SSL 360° must connect to Pro Tools’ PTSL service.
Sometimes, when loading a Pro Tools session, SSL 360° and PTSL may fail to connect. This can happen for different reasons, such as timeouts from unresolved dialogue boxes for missing audio files or plug-ins etc when loading a session.
If the enhancements provided by PTSL are not working, and you are using SSL 360 v2.1.12 and Pro Tools 2026. or 2025. and above, there is an easy way to Restart SSL 360’s connection to the PTSL service.
With a Pro Tools session loaded and SSL 360° running, go to the Plug-in Mixer page in SSL 360° and click on the ‘Restart PTSL’ button in the left-hand menu (you will need a 360°-enabled plug-in, or Link plug-in inserted into the Pro Tools session to see this button).
