Dante Firmware Update

The Dante firmware update is via a web browser interface hosted on UMD192. The process is the same for both MacOS and Windows. This update relies upon having completed the main firmware update and placing the unit in Update mode.

  • The Dante .upd file can be accessed through the UMD192 updater app.
  • The UMD192 app will display the units Dante primary IP address and open a browser window for update if the devices are on the same network. Click this to launch a browser an go to the updater page

  • Once the browser window is opened on the device, find the .upd file.
    • To Obtain the .udp file click on the Required Dante version in the Firmware update program.

This will open an explorer or finder window that will contain the required .udp file
  • Drag and drop the .udp file to the Firmware update area. The file transfer will happen automatically
  • To run the updated firmware, please reboot the unit using Dante Controller or power-cycle the unit

Check the unit has updated correctly

Power cycle the unit and check it boots correctly with the front panel lit up, and that the word UPDATE on the front panel is NOT lit up. (If UPDATE is lit the unit has booted from its factory image)
