Cubase shows “SSL 18 (High Precision)” audio drivers but if I select that I have strange “bad sync spikes” on my inputs.

'High Precision' mode is Cubase's own special driver mode, which is not supported by SSL 18. 

Please use the 'SSL 18' regular selection as your audio interface in Cubase, and ignore the SSL 18 (High Precision) option.
