If you have downloaded and activated a plugin, yet it isn’t appearing in your DAW, it is likely a plugin rescan will resolve the issue. Please do the following:
- Close ProTools
- Open Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows)
- Mac:
- Locate Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins (Unused)
- Move any plugins into the ‘Plug-Ins’ folder
- Windows:
- Locate C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins (Unused)
- Move any plugins into the ‘Plug-Ins’ folder
- Mac:
- Reopen ProTools
This may take a few minutes depending on system speed and the number of plugins moved.
