Yes, you can configure the SSL 18 Mic/Line inputs to pass directly to the ADAT output.
To do this:
- At the bottom of your analogue inputs in the SSL 18 mixer, there is a 'Mirror Route' feature
- Click and a list opens up
- Route each Analogue channel to ADAT outputs e.g. Analogue 1 --> ADAT 1 (This is the ADAT output), Analogue 2 --> ADAT 2, etc etc
- Beware that whilst you have mirror routes setup, this will block any audio being sent out from the DAW on that output (e.g. If you are using ADAT outs 1-8 as mirror routes, it will prevent the DAW sending out of ADAT 1-8).
