What’s new with SSL 2+ MKII compared to MK I?

  • Next gen 32-bit /192 kHz high-performance converters (previously 24-bit /192 kHz).
  • Significant audio performance specification improvements throughout – highlights include 120 dB dynamic range on the outputs (previously 112 dB), 119.5 dB dynamic range on the headphone outputs (previously 111 dB) and 116.5 dB dynamic range on the microphone inputs (previously 110.5 dB).
  • Switchable high-pass filter on the input channels.
  • Total of 4 balanced outputs on ¼" jacks (previously outputs 3 & 4 were unbalanced on RCA).
  • 2 x independent headphone outputs moved to the front panel (previously on the rear).
  • Ability to have Headphones B respect or not respect the Monitor Mix control when set to 3&4 (previously always respected it).
  • Auto-detect Instrument (DI) inputs on the front of the unit (previously Instrument inputs were on the rear).
  • New hardware switches & accompanying LEDs (+48v, LINE, HPF, STEREO, 3&4) – improved feel and easier to immediately recognise the state of each switch.
  • Refreshed look.
  • DC-coupled outputs - suitable for controlling CV input instruments & FX.
  • Stereo Loopback as standard.
