Follow selected track

This functionality depends on three things: the DAW, a DAW preference selection, and whether the UF1 or UF8 is controlling a DAW layer or the Plug-in Mixer layer.

DAW layer

Pro Tools

You may follow the selected track by using the Avid Pro Tools scroll into view shortcut when selecting a track.

On macOS the shortcut is SHIFT+CTRL+CLICK on the track name.

You can also customise the key command in Pro Tools to suit your preference.

Logic

Enable Control Surface Follows Track Selection in Logic. This ensures that the ‘window’ of 8 faders UF1 is controlling follows the Logic track selection.

As of SSL 360 v1.6, UF1 will automatically follow the selected track as long as the above option is enabled.

LUNA

Enable Bank to Selected Track in LUNA. This ensures that the ‘window’ of 8 faders UF1 is controlling follows the LUNA track selection.

As of SSL 360 v1.6, UF1 will automatically follow the selected track as long as the above option is enabled.

REAPER

As of SSL 360 v1.6, UF1 will automatically follow the selected track.

Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, Studio One, Pyramix

The MCU implementation of these developers means that it is not possible to follow the selected track via MCU. However, SSL 360 v1.6 brings enhanced DAW control (faders, pans, sends, colours, solos, mutes, selected track) to these DAWs via the Plug-in Mixer Layer, where it is possible to follow the selected track.

360° Plug-in Mixer Layer

Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, Studio One, REAPER, LUNA (using VST3)

When the UF8/UF1 has been configured to control the Plug-in Mixer (set to 'Plug-in Mixer' in 360), it will follow the track selection for all tracks in the DAW where you have inserted SSL 360° enabled channel strip plugins.
